The cost of housing continues to become more unaffordable year over year. The reason for this is simple. Housing in America is not seen as a basic necessity but instead is seen as an investment. Meaning corporations buy up all the available housing in order to rent it out for a profit or hold on to it so they can sell it for a profit which increases the already high cost of living for the working class. Instead I believe that single family homes should be owned by single families.

Healthcare is a human right.

Healthcare should not be determined by how much money a person has. Everyone deserve to live a healthy life and get the healthcare they need without fear of financial ruin. Virtually every developed country offers some form of free healthcare for its citizens. So then why, in the world's richest country, do we not have the same? This is why I will support affordable healthcare at the state level.

When talking about abortion, the conversation typically revolves around when the fetus becomes a life. I believe this framing lacks nuance which is vital when talking about health care procedures. Abortion is not a desision that is decided on a whim and often times is very traumatic for an expecting mother.
